Q. How much notice do I need to give when booking?

 

A. We have no rules on this and do our best to acommadate even the latest inquiries. However to be sure of the exact space you require early booking is recommended.


Q. What if I book the wrong size space?

 

A. We will endeavor to ensure you have the most economical space that you require. However subject to availability we will offer you a larger or smaller space dependent on your specific needs.


Q. Will my belongings be piled along with others? Is there any danger of my belongings being crushed?

 

A. No. Your belongings will be placed in a cabin that is dedicated to you. You may place them yourself with complete peace of mind that after you have locked the door your belongings will stay exactly how you left them.


Q. What weight restrictions are there on what I can store?

 

A. None, we rent you a cabin by volume and you may put in it what ever you need to store. However we advise that for health and safety reasons you distribute the weight over your packing boxes.


Q. How many boxes can I store?

 

A. There is not a limit to the number of boxes and we do not charge by the box. The size of cabin you book will dictate how many boxes you can store.


Q. I am not sure what size cabin I need, can you help?

 

A. This is a difficult question and of course it depends on many things. You may get a better idea if you came and viewed the cabins on offer, which you are welcome to do at any time during opening hours. Failing that we find that our small cabins suit most students needs.


Q. What can I and cannot store?

 

A. There is a full list of prohibited items in our terms and conditions (please read) but in brief, no weapons, food, anything that may leak, perishable or flamable goods.


Q. How can I be sure my possessions are secure?

 

A. We have a first class burglar alarm system, CCTV cameras covering the interior and exterior of the building. All visitors are escorted while on the premises. Your possessions are locked in a cabin and YOU hold the key!


Q. What will my storage cost?

 

A. We charge on a weekly basis a part week is counted as a full week. The rates for all our units are listed. You may require collection and or delivery and you may need packing materials. We have no hidden charges.


Q. If I want to remove my possessions early or need extra time will there be any penalties?

 

A. No. You pay for the time you store with us (in full weeks) If you remove them early and your prepayment is in excess then you will receive a refund, if you are a little longer you will just pay the weekly rate.


Q. Can I share the cost of the storage or the collection and delivery?

 

A. Yes. You can share any of our cabins with a friend and if we collect or deliver a number of peoples goods at the same time whether or not they are sharing storage space there is just one charge for collection and delivery which can be shared.


What do you charge for the delivery of packaging Materials?

 

There is no charge for delivering packaging materials for orders over £10.00.


Q. How much will I be asked to pay when I leave my things? When do I need to pay the balance? and do I get a refund if I pay too much?

 

A. For the Christmas and Easter breaks we ask for 4 weeks charge plus the collection charge (if you have used the service). The cost of any packaging you may have used and the cost of a padlock if you have not supplied your own. At summer break we ask for 12 weeks charge. Everything else is the same as Easter and Christmas. You can pay the balance when you are ready to collect your goods. If you have used less weeks than you have paid for then we will refund the difference. We do charge for full weeks so there will be no refund on part weeks. A full week is Monday to Monday or Tuesday to Tuesday etc. Depending on the day you leave your belongings.


Q. Can I have my possessions forwarded to a different University or address?

 

A. Yes. When you inform us of the new location we will obtain the best possible price and quote you for forwarding the goods to the destination of your choice.


Q. Your rates seem very cheap compared to other companies, what is the catch?

 

A. There is no catch, you are welcome to visit us and view our facilities. We guarantee no hidden charges.
